Lighten Up!

Quite a few people comment on the pendant lights I specify for the display homes, and want to know where I find them. Well...now is your chance to know!
There are a few favorite suppliers I use and also sell to the public. Below are some of my favorite picks that range from affordable to "blow the budge"!

Cast Pendant from About Space- This pendant is great to use as bedside pendants or in a row above an island bench. At $196 RRP each, why not buy a few!

Lab 1Lt Pendant range from Beacon Lighting- These beaker shaped pendants add a little  quirkiness to the room. Use the 3 different styles in a cluster above a dining table, and you have a fabulous talking point! You could also add a feather, shells or little trinkets inside the bottles to make it that little more personal.

Replica Tom Dixon Copper Shade Pendant from Matt Blatt- Copper is a great colour! It adds warmth to a room while creating a sense of luxury. I've used these gorgeous pendants in a recent Urbanedge Homes ensuite and is very unexpected. You could also use the Copper Shade off centre in an entry.

Little People Pendant from Kezu- If you want to splurge on a pendant, this would be the one! The scale of the pendant is amazing and creates such a focal point in a large, open area. I have used this pendant in an alfresco area (pictured above), as the textures work well with the landscape. The shadows it creates are pretty amazing too! If you look closer, it is made up of little people all holding hands, hence the name of the pendant!

Coco Flip Pendant from Tongue and Groove- Now I couldn't just stop at one splurge, and I just had to show you the pendant that I will one day have in my own home. The Coco Pendant from Coco Flip Design Studio is understated and organic. This would suit a light and airy interior that wouldn't need too many accessories. It is available in black or white, but I think the white feels so fresh...oh and the best thing about this pendant, is that it's by Australian designer,  Katie Stokes! RRP from Tongue and Groove is $1500.

  1. Great post. I'm dreaming of a Coco pendant for my dining room. I may have to splurge. Though I have seen "them" en masse at the Sydney airport food court which made me think that perhaps a cheaper replica exists. Please let me know if you find one!

  2. I'm considering the splurge too! Don't think there is a replica model, but good to know that it is Aussie made and designed!

  3. It would be a real shame if there was a replica, Kate Stokes is a young Aussie designer, who has worked really hard to get her product out there and doesn't deserve to have it ripped off. Her timber tops are hand-turned by retired gentlemen in a workshop that provides them with a great hobby post employment. The lights are exquisite. Love the Coco pendant for what it is and please don't encourage replicas which take away from the designer's hard-earned livelihood and steal their creativity.
