Gold & Brass

Mixed metals are big in interiors right now. Gold, copper, bronze and chrome. Feature them on their own or mix them up to add texture and colour.

I have loved copper ever since Tom Dixon brought out his Copper Shade pendant. But there is something about gold and brass that adds nostalgia and a "Palm Springs" or Art Deco charm.

I have collected a range of my favourite interiors with gold or brass details. It works great in a contemporary home, yet adds fun to an eclectic or vintage room.

I think a non comital and less expensive way to experiment with gold in your home, is with a simple DIY. Hunt down an old metal coffee table from Ebay, or an op shop and spray the legs in gold spray paint. There are so many awesome metal paints out there now, that look bright and shiny or even matt.
